Hi all

Just thought I’d let you know that our club social function we had last Saturday night was huge success.

While the numbers from our club were well down on expected those that were there as well as the 20 or so people who turned up from Heidelberg West really got into the theme of the night.

Some of the costumes had to be seen to be believed as well as some of the more than unusual dance moves. We are considering using Corona’s as the drink of choice for the Super’s team as the more of these that David McDonald drank, the lighter on his feet he became.

I’d  like to take this opportunity to thank firstly Rachelle and Kim for doing their usual fantastic job in organising this event, DJ Cookie who really created a great atmosphere for the whole night and last but by no means least all the guys and girls from the Heidelberg West football club. Not only did they provide us with a venue, drinks and great service, they all joined in on the fun.

I have been involved with three host clubs in my time at Diamond Valley and these guys are far and away the best host club we have had. We all should make an effort to support Wests  whenever we can as our relationship will only get stronger.

Andrew kept his official work short and sweet which meant more music and dancing. So well done Pres

Prize winners were as follows

Best female costume, Rebecca Sommerville ( No I wasn’t a judge in the voting). Honourable mention for Jill’s socks. Also for the fact that she accompanied Col ( Chopper Reed) Fenton.

Best male costume, Tony Cliffy Anderson McDonald. The sad thing about Macca’s costume was that when I asked him where did he get it from, he answered “ out of my wardrobe” Very sad.

Actually, best male costume as a tie between Macca and Kingy. However, we had to take Kingy’s prize away because when asked about his costume, his reply was “ I didn’t dress in a costume” Oops!!

Best group outfit, Shane Kiss Army Mullenger. Great effort.
